The Powerhouse Series
Posted By: xs4all, 12-27-2022, 02:13 PM

In the summer of 2021, I had the great fortune to be allowed to photograph in a partially decommissioned, medium-sized coal-fired power plant with an exceptional permit. At the moment I'm creating an album on Flickr with the picture series of this much too short shooting. With your kindly permission, I will show some of them here in the near future.

Beautiful work! #05, #06 and #09 are my favorites but I could easily pick several more.

Lots to look at in this plant. How large was the site? You images well document the scope of of the operations.

Thx Mike! Regarding your question: here is an aerial view of the power plant, borrowed from Wikipedia:

With these new images, I reviewed all the shots that you posted previously. I see signs of work in progress, waiting for someone to return to complete it It's a little eerie to view a place like this devoid of people. It's like entering "The Twilight Zone". Good work in taking and compiling these images.

The only work that remains to be done is the demolition of the complex, expected later this (or next) year.
The people who will come to complete the work, bring the dynamite!
