Just a pointer for anyone unfamiliar with these kind of conditions … an on-shore breeze, one that's "pushing" the waves up the beach, will tend to flatten the waves, giving far less impressive conditions than an off-shore breeze, which will quite literally hold the waves upright so they are taller for longer
Just something to consider when checking the weather forecast before driving however far it is to the beach
Also, an off-shore breeze will be taking all that nasty salt spray away from your lens and camera!
That's not to say that there won't be sand and such blowing around as well, so take sensible precautions and enjoy
