My mom loved African Violets and had quite a few. For a while, before I retired, I had one in the window in front of my desk. It bloomed almost continuously and always made me smile. My wife, on the other hand, isn't a fan of house plants so it's been a while but your image brought back good memories.

Many thanks for your comment and review. Surprisingly enough, this particular plant though now indoors, has managed to survive some brutal winters here in The Pacific
Northwest and as is evident is still doing quite well.

Best wishes for the New Year.

I can kind of see how this flower came out the darker color. It's not a true blue. Nice capture, Tony.

Pretty blooms that my own mom--if she were still here--would greatly love.
She too loved African violets--in nearly every room!

Interesting, you must live in a warmer part of the PNW than I do. I've always thought of them as being indoor/house plants and not something grown outside. Admittedly I've always live in places with cold winters.

Happy New Year to you and your family.

That must have been a great birthday present, Tony. Forgive me for being a few days late with birthday greetings!
