Good Shade Tree - Bad in Rain
Lens: Pentax-DA* 200mm F4 Camera: K-1 ii Photo Location: Northwestern California ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F11

A very nice shade tree alongside the creek in the summertime.
Now, all that can be appreciated is its silhouette--which I did appreciate.
I left the contrast pretty low just to show the happiness of the rain, of which there was a-plenty!
Angky.

The silhouette of this tree is something that you can appreciate. Its contorted limbs are quite interesting, it is surrounded by nicely colored tall grasses and the rain provides hazy background. Nicely spotted and well captured.

No shelter here it would seem but is interesting in it's shapes.

Thanks, Mike, for the detailed and informative description.
Your description helps me to understand my own photo better!
Thanks!

You are correct on both points, EM.
No shelter at all!
And I too found the shapes of the "monster tree" to catch my eye even through the rain and the brush.
Glad you found it interesting also.
