Two types of Roadrunners
Lens: 20x zoom lens Camera: Panasonic DMC ZS20 Photo Location: New Mexico ISO: 160 Shutter Speed: 1/320s Aperture: F6.3

The photos are from my Archives. A Rail Runner train and a Roadrunner Bird. the bird was taken in Albuquerque and we road the train to Santafe.

Good shots in New Mexico. Road Runners are cool birds. I haven't seen many around since a severe winter cold spell in February 2021

Road runners we used to see in Southern Calif back in the early 80s. Have not seen any since.
Good shots to remind one of what they look like.

and, as your photo shows, the name of the train was inspired by the bird.

I’m glad to see the depot is still standing. I photographed it some 50 years ago, when it was owned by the “Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad”, which was called “The Santa Fe” railroad {named for that city}. This depot has ‘the mission’ look, which was true of so many of their depots. Their mainline went from Chicago to Los Angeles, via Albuquerque, then, with a line from Lamy up to Santa Fe to keep Santa Fe as part of their system.
