After running a few errands, my wife and I stopped by Tucker Creek Trail in Conway for a walk. We had not been there in a while and I wasn't expecting to see much out in mid-January. We were surprised to find more wildlife than expected. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for viewing and your comments. It turned in to a fun stroll. On the way down the trail we came across the the woodpecker and mockingbird. When we doubled back we encountered the ducks, squirrel and hawk. As we were coming to the end, we found the Great Blue Heron and turtle, a real surprise.

Thank you, Julie. It was very surprising to find the variety of wildlife on this trail. A local walker told us that the hawks often roost in this area. We were alerted to them by hearing the birds, upset at their presence.

Thank you for viewing and commenting. This creek runs through west Conway. It has been fortified with rocks on the banks to slow/control erosion. The squirrel is a Red Fox squirrel. Thanks again.

That was certainly a worthwhile walk!
And very excellent images of all the critters!
Hope your wife enjoyed it as much as your camera did!

Thanks, Angky. My wife suggested the walk and found the red tailed hawks for me to photograph. She enjoys nature walks for exercise and the scenery.

Thank you, Loris. I don't mind at all. I particularly like the colors of the Red Fox Squirrel.

Thanks, Jer. I really enjoyed the walk when I started to discover the wildlife along the way. I've had some bursitis in my left hip so stopping to take photos gave me a break.
