Thanks Jimbo. They look pretty good in color too, but my preference w/ shots like this is B&W
Originally posted by slowpez Love the lighting in both pics. My favorite is also the first one.
Thank you Susan. It's funny, I prefer the second to the point that I almost didn't post the first, glad I went with both.

I really like the one of just the cabin... but the first one gives a great feel...
did you try these in sepia... to give them the old time look? Just thinkin out loud.. lol
Thanks for sharin.. Kim
Thanks Kim... I haven't tried 'em sepia style, I may have to give that a go. I find in general that B&W shots feel cold and sepia warm to me, so I'll probably prefer the B&W. I'm glad you enjoyed 'em.

Thanks Daz.
Originally posted by hamidlmt I really enjoy your b/w treatments! You caught this at a lovely time of day.
I like the composition of the first shot better... though, I wish it was panned a bit more to the right so we could see more of those tall, tall trees and more of a lead in with that dandy ol' fence. This would bring the barn just a bit more in the left of the frame and I feel the image would be better balanced.
Nitpicks aside.... nice snaps!
Thanks Hamid. Good advice. The scene was beautiful in person, but I never felt that excited about my compositions of it in the viewfinder. These were probably the best two...

Thanks JMR.
Originally posted by sawtooth235 I agree with the majority, I like the 1st one the best due to it's dramatic composition.
Postcards stuff for sure.

Thank you Ray. I'd like to print a series of postcards of our local mountains and hills when I've built up a good set, so thanks for the encouragement.
