I also find this to be interesting. Looking at it, I wouldn't think of it as a flower. However, it is an effective way to spread seed.

very kind of you Mike, if you don't mind, J may give you an explanation about common reed "flowers", the blooms consist of compact flower clusters surrounded by thin hairs that create a silky appearance, the wind will spread around thousands of seeds.

Terrific image Loris. The reed is very adapted to propagation with its silky hairs that can be carried by the wind.

An outstanding image--one of the kind that I really like to take!
Curved and full--a sort of exotic image.
We have similar plants along the cliffs and hills of our west coast--much to the chagrin of some of the pasture-land owners!
Very fine detail you have captured throughout the "exotic" curve in this image!
