B&W Bridge / New Look
Posted By: Jimbo, 12-29-2008, 05:54 PM

The first is a slightly different B&W then the first to try to improve on the foreground. The second and third are another Heron shot well it was snowing hard. This is almost a 100% crop on the third shot. JIMBO

Definitely better details to be seen in this shot, yet the atmosphere of the image is retained. Well done Jim!

That's not a happy GBH...

Regards,
Marc

Thanks Marc.. I agree the shot looks more balanced overall.. It looks great in full resolution. no the Heron wasn't looking too happy though it was a tough day to shot a camera too.... Cheers JIM

Jim, in case it's not clear to you:

I really feel this is a print worthy image - no question. I would be very happy to have taken this shot - it's excellent!

Marc

Jimbo,

Homerun on the bridge shot for sure!

I don't envy you out there trying to get those heron shots, brrrrrrrr.

It was 60F this morning and I was complaining.

Jimbo, that bridge shot is now super-fantastic. Hang it in the gallery next to the the birch series! Get it printed somewhere though so you don't use up all your black ink .

Great idea on the ink Josh.... Appreciate I was able to put the shot together to your liking... I have played with the shot over the past couple of days and with the help of a few, including yourself, I found something that worked. Cheers JIMBO

Wow Jim. That bridge image is excellent! And those poor silly displaced great blue herons, don't they realize that it is 65 degrees here during the day? No need for all that hunkering down in snow if they fly south.
