Wow , once again .... Been a while ..
Been laid up for 5 months with Sciatica ...
Not much happening , but the other week the 24/7 pain ended ... ( Thank goodness )
Just got to try and get better and start some physical stuff , like walking .
Pain is such a fantastic De-motivator !
Got to start doing stuff ... Getting old bites !

Me either ! This is the first one in a long time ..
I was outside riding the exercise bike and on the way in spotted this rather mature Mantis ..
Rushed inside , got my camera and snapped a few !
Was a difficult angle , so the shot is only so so . ( Too much bending )

Wonderful wildlife capture. You must be very careful rushing to anywhere. That sciatica can return with just the wrong move at the wrong speed. Wishing you a safe and speedy recovery.

Oh yeah ! Got to be careful ...
2022 was bad year , back was sore all year and then in Oct it went FUBAR ..
Had a shot of Cortizone in the back Dec 9 .. Took a long time to kick in .. So just got to gently gently get back the old routine ..

Wonderful capture of that praying mantis with excellent details. I look forward to seeing more of your photographs as you are able to get out and about.

Very great shot of that mantis!
I know very, very well exactly what you are talking about when you regret bending to get the right angle on the shot!!!
Hard to believe how very painful a simple nerve pain in the legs can be.
I have ruined many shots lately due to exactly that problem.
Let your photography "work" be the exercise you need for the sciatica--don't let it ruin your life!

I, also, haven't seen a full grown Praying Mantis In a while. I 'll be on the look out for them. I do see many walking sticks. I hope you continue to get better. I have had some bursitis lately and it gets painful at times when I walk too far. Keep shooting.
