Pentax K1 II vs Great Blue Heron
Lens: 150-450 Camera: K1 II Photo Location: LA ISO: 640 Shutter Speed: 1/3200s Aperture: F7.1

strange weather in LA area sunny day with rain ., no winds but cold . went to my local wildlife rescue and spend couple hours .
my main camera k3 iii , but yesterday i decided to shoot with k1 ii . i really enjoy using k1 , even it's very slow for wildlife . image quality outstanding !

Nice shots of that Great Blue Heron. The K-1 did the job well in these captures. Great focus and detail.

Great cover on these images. Tough to get exactly what you are shooting for with BIF, however you managed to secure two very expertly captured scenes. Muchas Gracias, Senor.

Nice shots of the heron. Really sharp. I like the head on one, it's hard to get those.

thanks David , yes it's very difficult for camera to keep focusing , but k1 handle very good

You express my views exactly. I love using that K1, but it really is slow--slow to handle and slow to focus. Also slow to return to the next shot.
Yet it makes images that are absolutely phenomenally good.
And these images you got are phenomenally good. Especially the head-on shot.
Really impressive and beautiful image of that bird.
