From 2013 : Lake Elsinore, CALIFORNIA. Pentax K5 + DA 16-45 mm f/4 AL
Lens: DA 16-45 mm f/4 AL Camera: Pentax K5 Photo Location: California ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F11

Picture of Lake Elsinore descending eastward from the Ortega Highway (Rte 74) for the first time in my life. I was awe-struck by this beautiful scene. People drive like crazy on Rte 74. This road if full of dangerous curves and hills with no forward sight, yet locals drive at dizzying speeds with no regards for out-of-state drivers in a heavily-loaded van. K5 + DA 16-45 mm f/4 AL @ f/11 and 16 mm FL.

This K5 body produces the most beautiful colors of all my Pentax camera bodies.

That is an awesome vista. I can imagine how it would feel to view it the first time. Captured with great colors and details.

I first drove that highway in the early '80s (not sure when) and was greatly surprised by the vista of Lake Elsinore.
Since then, I see that a lot of other people also have been impressed by the vista and bought up land and built houses that significantly alters the landscape!
Good shot you got of that.
Angky.

THX !

The lake itself still seems to be in good condition at least. The town has developed and grown like most other places. It is true this is a rare and beautiful setting, with even fields of poppies (and a yearly festival) just North and East of the city (Walker Canyon).

Regards

Terrific view! You are right about the K5. It produces vivid colors.
