With vibrant blues like that, you need to find out what it is. Nice shot with very good colors.

If you find out, let me know; I've shot some of these flowers too, but not as bright and clear as your image against the dark background.

Someone has suggested that it may be a Violet or a version of a Common Dog Violet. Some of which are very fragrant and some

not fragrant at all.

You're welcome. My crystal ball said Jacob's Ladder, more than 90% likely, so I'll go with that. Not an expert on violets, but it doesn't look like a violet to me. Whatever, the image is stunning!
