Stray boulders left here and there after the passage and melting of the latest Glaciers, 10 000 years ago, over the Sierra Nevada. People give a sense of the scale of the scene.

Yosemite Nat'l Park is located on top of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and permits going from Owens Valley in the East to San Francisco in the West via Route 120 and the Tioga Pass.

Hazardous, wandering roads and hordes of visitors make the visit sometimes difficult but the views are always spectacular.

Spectacular to see such huge rocks just sitting in a place with no obvious way for them to be there.
Have seen that quite a bit in various places in the Sierras.

Canada was completely modeled by glaciers over eons. Mountaintops in the U.S. were also scarred by the passage of these tremendous "landscape makers".
