I didn't notice it had an insect until I reviewed the image magnified on the K3 iii's LCD screen!

I was as close as I have ever been to this bird, hence took time to lower my default aperture setting for better DOF. Was using a tripod, but without tightening the tripod head (Vanguard GH 300T, using shutter release cable and the GH 300T "trigger")

It had been flitting about, so assume it caught the insect in mid-air.

That's a very good shot of the bird on a "wire". A very detailed capture, especially when viewed on Flickr. Many birds are adept at catching insects on the fly. You noted that this is the closest that you have been to this bird. Do they avoid populated areas?
