Solitary Sandpiper poking around at the Nature Preserve
Lens: Pentax F300 Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: Hendrix Nature Preserve ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

On our last visit to the nature preserve, we noticed this small bird wading around the pond. It would occasionally go after some tidbit to eat but we couldn't tell what it was after. A few pics. Enjoy.

Great wildlife images. Really like the way you manipulated exposure on a day with harsh sunlight. Thanks for posting.

Thanks, Tony. I don't see many of these birds at the preserve and this was alone.

Thank you. What I liked about the water in that area was that it was so clear. I also liked the rings created each time the bird took a step.

Thanks, Angky. I'm glad the bird was wading around the edge of the pond. I thought that the clear water added a lot to the images.
