Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano
Lens: Pentax DA 18- 135mm Camera: Pentax K 3 Photo Location: Costa Rica ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/320s Aperture: F8

The volcano is in the rain forest area of Costa Rica . Its elev. is 5437 ft.and is the best known of the many volcanos in the country This volcano is still active. The last eruption was in 2010.

Never been to Costa Rica, but from photos I've viewed of friends' visits, it is quite a beautiful country. Thanks very much for sharing.

Thanks for your comment. I have some nice photos taken of flowers in the rain forsest that I will post.

Although not a hugely high mountain, its size allows for a very imposing "presence" in your images.
The whole mountain, with all its detail is completely available, along with detail of foreground.
