Another B&W from my new Series
Posted By: Jimbo, 01-01-2009, 11:58 AM

Ok, shot this one yesterday and first tried the color version but it didn't look right. Converted to B&W and played around a bit and this is what I ended up with. Also have a link to the larger version... JIM

I love this one too, great scenery, and great conversion, but you seem to have a special relationship to leaning landscapes, unless it just my eyes

Wonderful landscape!! And the b&w suits here nicely. I like especially the curved tree on right and the reflection. The composition leads your view nicely from foreground to back. Cheers,

Man... my eyee must be loosing it... I moved the horizon a few different times but I always seem to go back to the orginal. Here is a small adjustment. JIM

What is all the fuss over a very slight horizon tilt. The original looked fine to me and the second is great too.

Great image. I really like the contrast with the sky and clouds. I am glad that you decided to do the B&W conversion. The subject is certainly well suited.

In regards to the tilting planet...it was only off a little (about 1 degree)

Don't take my remark too seriously, I was joking because of of the previous conversation... there is only a slight leaning, and there are so many slightly differing horizontal linings that it does not mean much!

Thanks Ray but I have to agree with the others. Once I fixed any of the horizons people questioned me on, the image looked better, though I agree it is only slightly. JIM

Thank's Steve. I didn't think too much about the color and then decided on B&W... I think it worked out ok. JIM
