This shot is brutally over-cropped and technically crappy, but I like it better than anything I've done in a very long time.

Moments like this are always worth a capture. The scene itself has value. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Your deer and a cattle egret are an elegant example mutualistic symbiosis because they both benefit . This is something the world needs more of .

Good one Jer !

Thank you! We often see egrets around the cattle farms around here, but I'd never thought they'd buddy up with deer.

What an amazing catch Jer! A person doesn't think that such different species would have a reason to interact, particularly in a good way, but shots like this prove otherwise.

As was said, the photographic qualities fade to inconsequential.
The purpose of following photo-techniques is to make the image attractive to viewers.
Content like this always creates its own attraction; the technique becomes moot.
Very interesting--and appealing--shot indeed!

Thanks very much, Angky. I've certainly seen and produced technically perfect photos that were perfectly boring.
