Very nice Tony ,that red color really stands out with the black ground.

I'm with Jer, also. Though it is a beautiful red tulip, darkness surrounds it and somewhat mutes it color. Nice creative photography, Tony.

You may be interested in knowing that I did very little in post with this subject. Of course there was cropping, resizing and getting rid of a lot junk in the trunk distractions, but

the Tulip itself remains untouched by human hands. It struck me as being so beautiful, I thought "Why mess it up?" In other words, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

One more very interesting tulip close-up photo, in this one the stem is deliberately visible.

As has been repeated, Jer puts it very well.
I like the impressionist presence of the stem beneath the darkly perfect presentation of the bloom.
