Manual Priority Mode with CWA Metering. F/L @ 200mm.

Thanks very much for viewing. I believe this turned out to be a rather decent image.

This is an understatement. I believe you have a terrific image here. I like how the green stems/leaves support the beautiful bloom, and all against the black background. Well done Tony!

Thank you very much. I genuinely appreciate your review. Does it appear to have a problem with front focusing? The leaves in the front were not even in the Focal Area, but

seem to be sharper than the bloom which was dead center in the Focal Area. This was done with Manual Focus.

Thanks again,

Tony

Yeah, the foliage in the foreground is sharper than the flower. It's a beautiful flower, though.

That is interesting. I would have thought that the flower is tilted back and the bottom petal must be forward of the leaves and slightly out of focus. The top half of the flower looks pretty sharp as well as the bits of leaves showing between the petals. However, I may be seeing it incorrectly. The little bit of the bloom out of focus is not distracting to me. F4.5 is razor thin at 200mm.

Thanks very much for your description. I see what you are saying and looking at it again, the leaves in the front are not that much of a distraction. The problem is I was/am

looking for problems regarding focusing. I disabled anything to do with Auto-Focus in the k-7 and now working solely with Manual Focus, on a tripod with a two second self-timer.

Will see what the future holds.

Thanks again,

Tony
