Scarlet Macaws
Lens: Pentax DA 18-135 & 55-300 Camera: Pentax K 3 Photo Location: Costa Rica costal area ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/320s Aperture: F6.3

A set of photos of the Scarlet Macaws taken over a 3 day period.They are in costal areas. The drive was 2.5 hours from where we started our trip.

They are big birds, for sure. My former boss had one, not well socialized, approach at your peril! But beautiful, none the less!

Wow! Beautiful birds. Looks like the drive was well worth it. Nice shooting.

I was lucky to get those pictures.You have to be in the the area at the right time as they are moving around and then leave quickly.

Those birds appear to have their own character--knowing just exactly who and what they are!
Nothing demure about them!
