Bush curlew

Been out trying the new (to me) tamron 70-200
this pair have just hatched a pair of chicks

Here is one

the chick is a tad soft, practice will improve this i'm sure.

The brutallity of the parents is overwhelming the chicken, it seems

I saw the title and thought "how did he get a bird named after him?

Great shots and I don't think the second is very soft at all. But I have to agree that the "eyes have it" #1 for sure is a wall hanger.
