Red Shoulder Hawk in a pine tree
Lens: Pentax DA 55-300mm PLM WR Camera: Pentax K 3 Photo Location: Sanford Florida ISO: 250 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F8

The tree was in a open area allowing pictures to be taken from different angles around the tree.

Nice series of shots of the Red Shoulder Hawk . It's up there surveying the surroundings looking for its next meal. You captured this one from all angles!

Most times when I spotted him up there I didn’t have my camera, and when I returned with it he would be gone.On this day my luck changed and I got the pictures.

Very fine shots of both the bird and the tree.
I find the hawk, in its close enlarged state, to be interesting since they are seldom seen in such detail.
However, the tree is even more interesting, at least to me!
If that is truly a pine tree, then I need to restructure my understanding of the "Pinus" genus!
It looks more like it belongs in the Cupressacea family, but even then it is quite unique to anything I've seen in that family.
Interesting images you've posted, for sure!
