Lost photos part 2 - Washington state
Lens: DA 35mm Limited Camera: Pentax K-3 Photo Location: Washington state
Posted By: Jonathan Mac, 06-05-2023, 05:28 AM

Back in 2015 my wife and I visited San Francisco for a week and then flew up to Seattle to visit a friend who had moved there and her new husband.

I misplaced the memory card with all the photos from the second leg of the trip shortly after getting back home and before I could backup or upload more than a few shots. A couple of weeks ago while visiting my parents and doing a clear-out of some of my old stuff I found a plastic case with two SD cards in a small black backpack which I have no memory of ever seeing before, and lo-and-behold if they weren't the photos from our 2015 trip to Washington state.

So here are a few of my favourites from the weekend in the country, all taken with the K-3 and mostly using the DA 35mm Limited though there are some with the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 and maybe some other Limiteds. There were quite a few abandoned old vehicles which made good subjects (at least for someone not used to them).

The nature shot of the water and trees is nice.

Glad you found that card. Interesting set of images. I like the shot of the stream, the building with the mural, and the long exposure night shot best.

Great selection of old, 'retired' trucks.

I remember the days of those old trucks!
Would like to have the collection of them and restored.
