Catching the Rain
Lens: DA*300 Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Behind House ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/45s Aperture: F7.1

This was taken during a thunderstorm in May. There hasn't been much rain around here since then. June and July have been hot and dry.

I really like this one, my friend. I may steal this idea and try it myself sometime - assuming it ever rains again!

You probably miss the fresh smell of rain in the air. Oddly, we have had rain and thunderstorms several times this month. This is a very nice image of the crisply focused wet cedar trees with streaks of rain in the background. Refreshing!

Thanks Jer! I tried several different shutter speeds, and 1/40th provided the nice streaks.

Thanks Mike! I saw that the rain was up your way. We are in a strange spot here in the hill country. We seem to miss a lot of rain that either hits north of us or closer to the gulf.
