I won’t debate with you other than to ask what characteristics you see that suggest this is a Says Phoebe and not a mature female Vermillion Flycatcher. The whitish streaks on the chest suggest flycatcher to me. I note that a Says Phoebe has been identified by one of the expert birders at the Riparian Preserve today. I had not noted this before. But then I’m a photographer that takes pictures of birds. I’m not a birder. Birders are weird.

You are right, Kiddo. It is indeed a female Vermilion Flycatcher. Just shows my inexperience with the Vermilion since we do not get them here. We do get the Say's Phoebe, though.
