It is official: I finally got to take my K20 on a "Calendar" winter hike, in the Presidential range of NH's White Mts yesterday. This is a large reason why I forked over the big bucks for the K20 back in April of 2008. The camera worked beautifully--no problems. The temperature range was a severe test for the camera--at trailhead the temperatures were in single digits and above treeline the temperatures were well below zero degrees fahrenheight--wind about 30mph.
All shots are with the Tamron 17-50mm. Unfortunately, much too cloudy for the awesome summit views.
1st Shot:Approaching summit of Jackson--Rime Ice on dwarfed vegetation
2nd Shot: Gray Jay on the trail
