This is the same pod of whales as the others I posted. Usually I think of whales as being a very dark blue grey. Here the underside a brilliant white

I like this shot with the whale entering the water at an angle. The underside is, indeed, brilliant white. Great colors in this image. What type of whales are these? Nice shooting.

These are humpback whales. They migrate up and down the east coast of Australia travelling from Antarctic where there is good feeding to the north where it is nice and warm for calving.

Great capture! Wonderful contrast between the brilliant white of the whale's underside and the deep blue of the water.

There is never an end to the surprises one can see in nature.
I've never seen the white side of the tail...!
