Hi everyone,

This past fall my wife took me to the to the Detoit Zoo for my Birthday (Oct 6). We were lucky enough to have a cooler day and most of the animals were up and moving. I have my handy K100d with me and actually ran into another Pentax user who was photographing at the Mircat area. He really encouraged me to keep going with my photography. He encouraged me to shoot like crazy. Here are a few shots I got from my visit.

Very nice series. I especially like #2 and #3

In #2 the shape of the giraffes head is nicely duplicated in the rock behind.

In #3 the "pose" is funny, but you are also drawn to look into the eyes (at least I am).
