I was trying out my old manual lenses and produced the following series of some garden plants. Feedback will be appreciated as this is one of my first takes at this...

All shots were done with a Pentax k-m.
The first shot was done with a an old prime Carenar 200 tele lens at f2.8.
The second one with k-m kit zoom lens at 55mm and f5.6.
The third and fourth shots with my old Pentax M 50 at f1.7

The first shot isn't too shabby for a no name long lens. The second one isn't bad for the kit lens but it shows up it's shortcomings by being dark.
The third and fourth show a glimpse of the bokeh potential of the M 50. Lighting was a bit tough in the fourth one.
The first one was the best compositionally followed by the fourth. #2 and #3 are too centred.

Maybe a better way of experimenting would have been to take the same shot with the different lenses. I'm sure a lot of people would find comparing them interesting.

Beautiful subjects and colours.

The bokeh are not to my liking here though... Sometimes bokeh can be on a particular object to "act" as an element. Most of the bokeh here are rather dark with double outlining. The swirly smooth bokeh are probably what the pictures are screaming for but not there.
