Ok, I suppose they're just wind turbines...

Taken near Tehachapi California today.

K20D, Tamron 70-200/2.8, converted in Lr. I don't know how I settled on this tone for the monochrome conversion, but I kinda like it...

Makes me think of "War of the Worlds" and "resistance is futile". Great shots.

Thanks Jim. I looked at this post on a computer at work this afternoon which has a fairly small monitor, and they looked really bad... Makes me wonder how my other posts look, and what I'm missing when other folks work displays incorrectly.

Yeah, shot #2 had a flowery look for me.

Very dense, with wind turbines of varying ages. Some of them are HUGE... look at the shadows from these huge ones. Also not conveyed by the picture is the very large area covered with these things - a lot.
