Just got back from Niagara Falls
Posted By: Photochop, 03-19-2007, 03:32 PM

Hey folks!

I went to Niagara Falls on the weekend for my birthday and we had a lovely time despite the cold and snow. We stayed at the Marriott Fallsview hotel and my oh my what a view! I've been to the Falls several times but it never ceases to amaze me just how beautiful the Falls really is.

I have a whole bunch of photos that I still need to work on so stay tuned but for now here are some pictures from the Butterfly Conservatory. This is the first time I've really used the DA 50-200 and I'm pleased with the results so far. I hope you enjoy them

Hey V. welcome back! Stunning shots, especially the one in the bowl, and the black and yellow striped one, great color contrasts! I hope you got the Zenitar in time for your trip. I can't imagine a better place for an ultra wide.

Thanks HogRider

Thanks Salty. Nope, I didn't get the Zenitar in time :ugh: I was praying to the mail gods but I got nothing. Although I did happen to stop into a camera shop in the Falls, I bought a nice bag and I asked the guy if he had any used lenses. He said "no" but went to the back of the shop and brought out the Bigma, what a monster! and the Pentax fisheye...what a tease. He let me test it on my camera and man oh man was it fun to use for a short time. I also saw/used the K10D for the first time. It's a nice camera and it wouldn't be a huge learning curve coming from the K100D should I decide to upgrade.

Your darn right about using the Zenitar as an excuse to go back, in fact, my boyfriend and I have already discussed going back once the lens and warmer weather arrives

So here's part one! I had a blast looking through these!

I didn't realize the butterfly conservatory was open this time of year! One of the places for me to visit

Thanks Xfraser You're too kind!

Thanks Alvin! When you go be sure to wear a light t-shirt because it's like a sauna in there and keep an eye out for Deer. We saw 10 of them just frolicking on the side of the road in the middle of the day. They feel no threat there.

Thanks very much Ivan, I'm flattered.

ROFL Dudlew Don't blame me...blame 'them' with all the unbelievably beautiful shots 'they' keep on posting which causes the LBA fever to rise above boiling point along with the wife's/husband's temper after they see the bank statement

Those shot are gorgeous! I particulary like the third one in, and the second to last.
