Pink Rhododendron

Pink Rhododendron flower , just testing out a new to me DA*300mm f4 . I love this lens , although I need to check my depth of field on location as some of my grouped flower shots looked like I needed more depth to get all the flowers in focus .
Pentax k70 , TAv mode , raw .

Lovely colour and a nice photo. The lens should serve you well.

Now, how many times have I said that to myself when reviewing my pics after returning home? But yes, the longer the lens, and the smaller the distance from the subject, the more we need to shut down the aperture, unless we are after some sort of special effect (or there just isn't enough light!). Shooting moderately close shots of flowers with a 300mm lens, F8 or thereabouts needs to be a starting point.

Very pretty flowers, Paul
