I am keeping my FA50 - I do like it!
Posted By: jsundin, 03-19-2007, 10:01 PM

I got this lens a few months back and have had hits and misses with it. I have tried portraits, tried sports (indoor) and just messing around. I llike it, but didn't love it. Well, I just decided that I am definately going to keep it. Yes, I was thinking it was too much for me. Here is why I have decided to keep it.

A neighbors cherry blossom tree that hangs over my garden.

Some daffidols that somehow survived my swampy garden.

More blossoms.

Then, I tossed on some closeup filters I got for $1 off of a bargain table.

Future apples.

Future apple poking out to meet the spring.

And a fun one of a juniper branch. Very small DOF.

You've got some great shots with that 50! The bokeh and sharpness - they are so addictive!

Yes, when I saw them last night on my computer, I was mesmorized. They have been added to my computer screen saver show. I will now have to pick one (or more) to blow up for prints in my house.

Thank you for your comments.

I don't know if you should keep that lens... I think a better idea would be to send it to me!

Nice pictures!

Carol, I couldn't do that to you. I hardly know you. I haven't fully trained the lens yet. What if it made a mess on the floor. Allow me to keep it awhile and fully house break and train it.

I do appreciate your kind offer. :-)
