Butterfly

Here is a shot that I took in Mackinaw. I later went back and tweeked the colors but wanted to get your impressions of the orginal.

Hi there, welcome to the forum!

There are a lot of butterfly close up photographs around and your shot seems place emphasis on the pattern in the wing. The focus in on the blue part that does look refreshing and interesting.

However, it is common to focus on the eye or even try to have the camera parallel to the plane of butterfly you are photographing with.

I would have cropped everything else that is out of focus leaving the blue part of the wing as the sole subject. That might be even more popping for viewers
