I'm not sure what Castro has to do with the restoration and preservation of old cars, but these folks are just like classic car owners everywhere - very proud of their possessions and accomplishments.

Only forbidden to Americans, the rest of the world can enjoy Cuba.
I only spent a week there but I can tell you it isn't a perfect place but it is beautiful. The Cuban people we spoke to were fiercely proud of their country. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

The old cars really stand out but we also noticed many new vehicles too. Lots of small Chinese (or Asian) SUV's and even a few larger sedans and even a genuine Jeep!
