On the way home from work

There was some light left, about 30 minutes after sundown so blueish. All with the smc-a 50/1.7.

Nice series. I have to agree with the others, the bike shot is 1st class.

Damn Brit

I like the colours in the building shots. The bike shot is a beautifully executed and converted picture.

I think the others are right - it's the bike shot.

I think it's the frame. The image is not contained in the frame. The image simply visually ends there but with a strong feeling that there is a whole other world beyond the frame. You know there is more to the image but that the bike is not a part of it. This gives the bike an isolated, desolate, forlorn quality that works very well.

Simple but effective.

You managed the after glow. Nice. The lonely abandoned bicycle- in a river and covered in snow. Very nice!

I like the bicycle shot too, but the first one, which gives it context. Why is the bicycle on the river ice? What happened? Did the rider abandon it there? Was it placed there for some arcane purpose? Who knows?

Wow, thanks for all the comments!

The bike was probably stolen and then thrown over the bannister by the thief. The bikes in these shots are different bikes, so there's actually two bikes on the ice quite close to eachother. Very common thing to see here.. stupid people.

I'll have to go back there some day to frame a few shots of the theatre a bit better I think
