Around the yard with a "new" Takumar...
Posted By: heliphoto, 01-21-2009, 11:03 PM

Got this lens yesterday...

The Takumar 1:3.5/135 (preset)

Shot these with it today. All wide open, raw files converted in Lr with no additional sharpening (but some tweaks of levels/curves and obvious B&W conversions)...btw, this is somewhat cross-posted to the Takumar Club thread and my thread about my new gear, but I wanted to share with the wider audience here too... if that's not cool, I won't complain if a mod kills this thread.

Love this one...

Indeed it's been springlike here in California for weeks, but we're finally getting some rain - started last night. Look for some DA* rain pics from me later

Thanks. I like the bokeh on this lens, though some may think it a bit too busy.

Thanks Dave, I think that was within a second of impact on a fall to sitting position.

Love that shot too... my kind of background.

I love that first series of shots with the 'new/old' lenses. It is the rush the keeps my LBA pumpin'...

And you got a bag full of new stuff to shoot for us junkies... Keep em' coming, it is raining here so I am catching a contact high from your shots!

I agree, the Tak. 135/3.5 isn't really that busy at all, let alone comparable to what you've got there. What is that from? Jupiter 9? Whatever it is, I think Gus wants one.

Thanks Gus. The rain's here too now, so I went outside with the DA*50-135 for it's first soaking. Pics to come (nothing too exciting though).

The preset 135 Tak is a nice lens ... expecially with the black/chrome highlights too.

I love my 135 Super Tak ... it is a nice outdoor walkabout lens ... with stunning colour and dreamy bokeh.
