I got my 1st image accepted on PPG
Posted By: sawtooth235, 01-24-2009, 10:29 AM

I am pleased to say that I have finally gotten an image accepted in the PPG. Hopefully, it won't take as long to get number 2 in.

I had submitted several image back before I got my K100D that I thought were better, but they were taken with my Samsung GX-1L (Pentax ist DL2 with Samsung label) so they were rejected because the exif said Samsung and not Pentax.

Can't succeed if you don't try. This actually wasn't the one that I thought would be accepted. I really thought that this one was better.

I used the high pass filter to sharpen it a little, but the slight under-exposure kept the colors very saturated.

I say again: are there any other cameras in the universe that treat the colours, specially green like Pentax? Great job, your second one in PPG is coming soon if you go on like this!!

Congrats and both are excellent shots. Who can figure the choices there. You gotta be very good these days to get in.

juanraortiz,

I agree that the greens and the blues are Pentax's strengths. This blue one illustrates the "blue" bias.

Thanks Peter, you are right that the quality of images in the PPG have been getting better and better. I consider it a honor to be included.

Thanks Suresh, one of these days we should get together to compare notes and take some pictures together.
