You Talkin' to Me?

Turtle with an attitude. This is a picture of some kind of turtle at our local Sea Center. I've thrown in a couple of other fish with the zoological definitions of "Blue fish" and "Yellow fish" (hey, I'm an organic chemist - I can't name these things, only the molecules of which they are composed). All shots at ISO 1600 on my new K20D - no more "fear of flying".

Crap. 1600 ISO.. My K10 would never give me these results Jer. Nicely done and thanks for making me re-think the K20 instead of waiting for the nest go around! JIM

Hi Jer, that are three nice images but I do like the turtle shot and the last one and the middle one isn't all that bad neither. :-)

Hey thanks, JIM. If you've got a K10D, like we do, it's hard to know whether to spring for a K20D as it likely nears the end of its run. I was persuaded by Amazon's Black Friday deal coupled with a long-forgotten gift certificate that allowed me to get my new camera for only about $350 (US) out of pocket - not enough to disuade me from its successor (if that turns out to be stunner). Anyway, you do terrific stuff regardless of the camera in your hand.

You're a scholar and a gentleman, Heinrich. Thanks.

That's a great deal Jer. UP here in Canada they want $1000.00 bucks for one and like you said with the K20 quickly coming to its end maybe its worth the wait. I have heard nothing but praise for the K20 over the K20 so I hope the K30?? is that much better or its the K20 that I will spring for. JIM

LOL, nice title for the first photo, the light bending differently from both sides of the surface just points out there can be something to stare at
Great photo!

Thanks folks. I'm really proud of how this thing works at 800 and 1600.
