Vancouver Aquarium with FA 100mm macro

Vancouver Aquarium with FA 100mm macro · 11:56 PM

Tried my unsteady focusing hands with the FA 100mm macro at the Vancouver Aquarium today.

Shooting through thick glass, less than ideal lighting conditions, particles in the water, and jostling kids but somewhat pleased with the results (click on the pics to see the full photostream). As usual, C&C appreciated!

Thanks all, for the kind comments.

Robberti, lighting at the aquarium is tremendously difficult to shoot with. I was shooting on AWB (with the expectation that I would have to color correct on some pictures; surprisingly, the K20D did quite well 'as is'). I shot on 'Bright' mode with +1 to contrast and +2 to sharpness. Post-processed exposure bumps (anywhere from .50 to .75) with a touch of here and there of additional contrast to make the pictures pop a bit and that's about it.
