My wife ran in and said, "Grab your camera!"

Weather sealing rocks BTW...

DA* 16-50 @ 16mm... Some post in Lr, but nothing wild (aside from the weather). I'd say it looked at least this vibrant in person - if not more!

Wow - getting a rainbow shot is hard enough - to get one this good, well, it's almost as if the two rainbows posed for you (conveniently circling a photogenic old barn). You're not only talented, you're also livin' right, Josh.

Often people gets so excited about shooting the rainbow before it fade so they forgot the ground/foreground. Not you. Very well composed!
Thanks Douglas. It all just fell into place (and I'd have missed it entirely if my wife hadn't gotten home from work right then).

Thanks...

Brilliant shots, Josh. In #2 I like how the road & clouds lead the eye into the photo and the setting sun
#1 is just a great capture
Thank you daz.

I really like that rainbow shot. Nice capture!
Thanks Toshi - and my DA* 16-50 got all wet and didn't care - I guess you'll have to get one too .

Outstanding Josh a rare capture indeed double rainbow - and the first one is very well defined. Love the sunset as well.
Thanks Dave. It was a fortuitous afternoon.

Both images are great. But the second is outstanding. Hold on, I hear someone calling me. Another hurry up, we have to get to work!

JMR
Thanks JMR. I've gotten good sunset shots from that spot before, so I ran to get there before the sun set.

Thank you Guillaume. It's times like that which make me bring the camera with me all the time.

Brought a smile to my face Jer - If I showed you the hundred or so keepers of my son playing earlier in the day, you'd know I'm livin right .

Charmed like Hin refers to his DA*50-135 - his "golden charm". Glad you liked it - thanks.

Very nice. Not an easy capture. I've tried a number of times with no such luck. Thanks for the inspiration...

Thanks Chris. Actually there's about a 40 minute time span between the two shots, and the sunset was taken about a half mile walk away from the rainbow location. I actually went in the house for a few minutes to dry my front element (filter actually) before heading back out and up the hill you see in the rainbow picture. About half way up that hill I got on a trail which took me south to the overlook where the sunset shot is from.

Thanks, just a matter of being at the right place at the right time.

What we have here is the perfect example of why photography was invented and why people buy cameras. Fantastic!
