Ice Abstract

Took a couple photos of these beautiful nature's own ice sculptures.
(And these look a lot better when viewed bigger on a black background)

I quite agree, they look better in the larger mode. But in addition, in the larger mode, one can see the secondary motif, the running water, whcih adds greatly to these fine images. I like no-3 best. No-2 has one small intensely white area (dot almost) that is distracting, even if it naturally there.

Heh, had to quickly clone it away after you said it. It really was so distracting!

These are beautiful...

The first and third, really work for me. Really nice work here...
and as the others have mentioned the larger versions with black background really pop.

Very beautiful, Joni! I love it how the crisp bright ice surrounds the dark and smooth water below, Did you use a longer shutter speed?

Thanks gawan. Exposure times were something between 0,5sec and 3sec.
