Got my first photo accepted into the PPG. And of all my photo's it was last one I thought would ever make it!! Sorry everyone, i'm just kind of excited since i was ready to write off the PPG...

Congratulations. This is a great image! Isn't it funny when one gets accepted that we didn't expect to? It always makes me wonder what I'm missing. Especially when ones I think are more likely to be approved are declined.

Thanks all...I think part of it is that there isn't a whole lot of content about emergency services or the like. Maybe because the subject is so different than most in the ppg. Ehh, who knows??Maybe i'm on to something here

Looks like the guy "on the knob" is either just closing down the nozzle or just opening it up, from the small water droplets just ahead of him in the picture. Was this a working fire or a training burn?

Sorry for this line of questioning, but it is what I do.

Just opening..It was a demo burn at my local volunteer fd's open house. Don't worry about the questions..i'm on the job in Stamford CT..truckie. What about yourself?

lodi781, I am a volunteer truckie with a small company in Central PA just north of the state capital. Been at it for 27 years. One of the things I hope to be able to do with my new K200D is to capture images like the one you did here.
