Ellicott City Md. Is a quaint little town just a few miles west of Baltimore MD. It's a small town filled with little shops, and nice restaurants. A place to get lost in Antique hunting and the artsy things, but most of all it's just a beautiful place to go to relax and walk and photograph life in the laid back space of time doesn't matter. Here are just a few shots from a Photo shoot yesterday with some members of the forum.

That third picture looks a lot like the old courthouse 15 min from here.

I especially like the firehouse museum. I find that a major problem with city shots of historic buildings are the everpresent "modern" structures such as telephone/power/streetcar overhead wires and poles that distract from such elegant architecture. Hard to get in any position where they are eliminated.

A very nice little town - a friend of mine from college lives there! So small a world sometimes.

agree with Clarence - it's so difficult to get a good shot without getting wires/poles etc... LOL my son just walked by and yelled "ERNIE!"

Thanks Clarence and Khardur, I agree with both of you. It's a shame when a historic town lets progress diminish the charm.

Old Victorian on top of a hill. I don't know who had the money but it's a beautiful home and very photogenic.

That's a very interesting place you guys ended up visiting! Sorry I missed it. Your pictures are wonderful. I especially like the last two in this set.

But wasn't Betty Boop from before the famous 'Marylin over the vent' picture? HA!

Well If I answer your question about Betty Boop I would be showing my real age. But I would tend a guess that you are right.
