Geez Randy, such cute models. Great shots.
The soft natural lighting works great here.

Getting ready for Easter?

What are your modeling costs?

Very good Randy, I like the second shot the best. As you already know the 50mm f1.4 is a great little lens with a lot of power.

These are lovely portraits Randy. You captured something really special with the first one, her eyes are very telling.

Stunning captures Randy. Wall hangers for sure. You really nailed the light in each, and I like the fact that each is completely different in every way from the others. And they'll enjoy them too, especially in 20 years.

Great pictures, Randy. I love these available light shots. BTW, I too want to know how you get them to cooperate like that, my 3-year-old almost runs away when he sees me point the camera his way.

First I would like to thank you all very much for the kind comments.... wow! much, much appreciated !!
my wife is starting a business that brings a birthday party to peoples houses.... she bought a whole wack of dress up costumes.... the kids we shot got to play out their fantasy of being things like snow white...
that made the children feel at ease.
except for one girl (the older one in the last pic) all 5 girls not including our own 2 were really great to shoot... the cute little blonde especially.
we knew a person who does hair dressing and she came to do the hair in return for some photos of her daughters.
my wife hattituds was the main photographer, and I "teased" the children and asked a bunch goofy questions... the best shots came when they were not trying to stretch a smile. snaping away while they are talking to you about the things that are special to them helps big time.

otherwise a bit of luck helps as well

in the future I would like to invest in a used lightmeter so I can "mimic" the same lighting with consistancy.
cheers

randy
