vell 90mm F6,7 gives the image shallow dof, so the textures are only there where the focus is. And for this kind of image, you don't want to much blemish etc.. the skin details are there just not sharpened for web..

Simple 2 light setup

Beautydish above model..
and one grided flash in barndoors for the background

used a reflector to shoften shadows.

Yes I only shoot raw, so I have the original image

Wonderful light, so soft skin in the first! The last two are my favourites in this post!

I prefer the B&W. Can't say why, but I definitely prefer it.

edit... for one thing, the B&W is much less "busy" for example less light detail in her hair. Allows one to focus on her eyes, which is the best part of the shot.

I like the colored version. The B&W version somehow emphasizes the tilted composition a little too much, it is the first thing I see, I find it a tad disconcerting. On the colored version, the eye go straight to the model.

Amazing. You're coupling vison and technical skill in a way I never could. Wonderful job - I can't even imagine taking photos refined like these.

Breathtaking. Looks very professional. Her left hand (right in the picture) though, looks as if it were from someone else. TBH, it looks as if a human being reached into the frame to touch the doll's face. I guess the skin of her face just doesn't resemble anything natural anymore which is probably OK for an advert. The hand coming from the right creates a lot of contrast, though.

I'll tell you this.. the hardest part is not the light.. its getting the model in the right mood. and not giving dead eyes.
