Snowy Owl Part II (finally got close)
Posted By: palmor, 02-01-2009, 07:03 PM

Well we went looking for the Snowy again today and we found him in the same exact spot as yesterday. Again he was a little too far out for any photos and after watching him for almost 2 hours we decided to go get some lunch. We picked up some Pizza and headed for the beach to eat it when we saw a 2nd Snowy perched on one of the beach rest rooms! So while this isn't actually the most natural of settings I was able to get closer then I've ever been able to get to on before.

That is an excellent crop. Brings out the naturalness of the owl and the scene. With few exceptions, I am not a big fan of head and shoulder shots of wildlife. All living things, plants or animals, survive and live in communities and their respective environments.
