The Zenitar goes downtown 9 images
Posted By: NaClH2O, 03-26-2007, 08:07 PM

Well, not real far downtown, more like the Village and Union Square.
Most photos taken with the Zenitar 16mm fisheye and the DS.

First found this interesting looking church just off Washington Square

Washington Square looking north

Used to be a fountain, is now used as a stage for break dancers and other "performance artists".

Like this (taken with the kit lens)

The most famous arch in all of NYC, makes a good frame

The Zenitar makes it fun to get detail!

OK, I'm bored here how 'bout us going north to Union Square (THE place for political rallies in NYC) but no rallies today just a bunch of people 'hangin'. But if you look carefully you can see a TV truck stationed on 14th St. just behind the second light pole.

Looking south down Broadway

Looking up and east

Thanks for following us around!

Nice photos. The second shot works really well with the fisheye. The circle in the ground and the round fountain really stands out.

Thanks for sharing

Great shots Salty. #4 and 5 are really nice. You're getting a good workout with your Z lens

Really good shots Salty.
You're finding out what this lens can do besides fisheye. I like the wide angle effect this lens offers.

Hey Buddy, the arch shots are terrific! Makes me want to exercise my fish eye; now, if I can only think how to capture the Wal-Mart in Lake Jackson, Texas.

I like these;they have a "just another day in NY" mood. The one of the inside of the arch is really interesting.
If your schedule permits, try Union Square on one of the days that the green market is there; it's great for people and color.
